Matòbo is a fictional North African country in the Swedish movie "Morgan Pålsson - världsreporter".
The capital is Bathom and the country is ruled by King Hajib II until 2008 when the Islamic Front takes power with the support of the terror network al-Irhabi led by Fajr al-Zowari.

Note that this is not the same country or flag as the fictional African country Matobo in the movie "The Interpreter".

The producers/scriptwriters of this film seem to have run out of inspiration. Could they really not come up with an appropriate sounding name of a fictional African state of their own, rather than copying someone else's? Moreover, the name Matobo in The Interpreter is derived from the Matopo Hills in Zimbabwe - the state in that film is strongly based on Zimbabwe and the name used has a distinctly authentic ring to it. However, this name is not at all redolent of North Africa and it seems a somewhat bizarre choice - one hopes the plot is better than the stylisation.
